WRITER-PARALEGAL-COM is the merging of FREELANCE PARALEGAL SERVICES, established 1997 and THE WRITE PLACE established in 2004.
After serving as a bankruptcy paralegal specialist for the Chapter 13 Trustees in the Eastern and Western Divisions of the District of Massachusetts, Becky Rolland decided she could best serve the legal community as a freelance paralegal. In 1997, she opened Freelance Paralegal Services specializing in bankruptcy law. Throughout her tenure as a bankruptcy paralegal, she has trained paralegals and conducted seminars on bankruptcy law, self employment and business.
A member of the National Paralegal Association since 1991, Ms. Rollland has held offices in the Massachusetts Paralegal Association and New Orleans Paralegal Association and currently serves on the editorial board of the National Paralegal Reporter.
An avid writer, Ms. Rolland expanded her services by starting The Write Place in 2004. She established herself as a speaker through Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education in 1997 and contributed chapters in the Paralegal Practice Manual (MCLE, 1998), Preparing Legal Documents for Paralegals (MCLE, 2000), and The Role of Paralegals in Chapter 11 and Chapter 13 Bankruptcies (MCLE, 2002).
In 2004, Ms. Rolland considered a expert in bankruptcy law, was asked by author Carole A. Bruno to contribute a chapter in her book, Lessons from the Top Paralegal Experts (Delmar Centage Learning, 2008).
